Mass Effect

This saga is composed by 3 games, I'm reviewing the whole experience.

There's 3 things from western rpgs that I hate:

- Fake choices: Having (dialog) choices with an irrelevant output. This game is plenty of them, there are some relevant too but it doesn't keep away the fake feeling to me.

- Action combat and controls: They are too action focused, I prefer the pace from action jrpgs. Mass Effect goes from a bit of strategic combats to a 3rd person shooter. I need some strategy and challenge to have fun, I played on hard mode but it just increases the enemies stats, I just needed to shoot them more time.

- Super f. heroes: If the japanese got the "Heroes of light and infinite justice", the US got "Super f. heroes with catchy phrases", Shepard acts like one of them.

Ok enough vent, what I enjoyed the most is the sci-fi atmosphere; It was so great exploring places, visiting cities, meeting diferent alien races and their lore. Visuals and music also helps to make it an awesome experience that makes worth dealing with the things I don't like and keep playing it.

Finally the story have some epic parts, other not so epic like some of the member recruiting and I'm weird enough to have liked the original ending, I like to think and run my imagination and that ending gave me that. The cast is very interesting too with their background and quests, there's Jacob too.

Did I like it? Yes
I think you will ike it if you:
- Like western action rpgs
- Are a sci-fi freak!

I rate my experience with a 7.5 out of 10
