Bioshock

I hate shooters, specially 1st person ones, but even so I still try them for about 30 minutes or so before I get tired.

But with Bioshock is the exception, I started playing without knowing what to expect as I never read about games before I try them, and it started as usual with the explosion and chaos but once I reached the lightpost everything changed.

I knew something was different with that "strange" music and the steam elevator and then I was on my way down with my mouth open admiring Rapture, the concept, the atmosphere, the philosophycal questions this implied... my head was already formulating lots of questions on that little ride.

So, thats what kept me going foward until the end, enjoying every minute of it, I wanted to know everything: what happened? why this? why that? who was behind? Everything.

Combat is the usual 1st shooter which isn't interesting to me. It is not very challenging, to me it seems it's done just for the joy? of killing because there's not much to do but to kill people on many different ways. I played on hard and it's just the same usual enemies with higher stats.

Did I like it? Absolutely
I think you will like it if you:
- Don't hate shooters

I rate my experience with a 8.5 out of 10.

Ultra quick-review: Bioshock 2

I played with thirst for more bioshock and that's were I got a bit tired, yes as a shooter it was better, improved combat and exploration, but wasn't appealing for someone like me, I wanted to be surprised again.

Did I like it? I got bored fast
I think you will like it if you:
- Like shooters
- Want more Rapture

I rate my experience with a 5.5 out of 10.

Ultra quick-review: Bioshock Infinite

At first and for most of the game I had the same problems as with Bioshock 2: more shooter things and no surprises. That was of course until I knew the whole story, I felt tricked, I think I could hear Levine laughing at me, that bastard, I like it, give me more of that!

Did I like it? While I was playing not much, but after I understood everything I loved it.
I think you will like it if you:
- Need more bioshock

I rate my experience with a 7.5 out of 10.
