Lords of the Fallen

A good and short action rpg, with many lacks but with a better combat system than many wrpgs.

The combat system is like a light/less static version of Dark Souls, it's not better but the difference is apreciated. The gameplay gets very repetitive, but I think it's due the lack of different enemy types and their AI being a bit soft and predictable. Boss fights have the same problem, they are fun at first but gets tiring when you have killed 4 of them.

Another problem I found is that the level design is confusing, not because it is bad but because the places are too similar,  got the "i've been here before feeling" quite a few times as it's all "snow and stone". Also the main world is really small taking around 12 hours to finish the main quest and many sidequests.

The customization is okay, weapons are armors are nice looking tough there aren't many of them, there's also some light crafting/enchanting options.

A cool feature is the experience gained in battle, if you don't spend it you keep gaining a experience bonus multiplier for each kill, at the risk that if you die you leave all that experience on the floor which slowly dissapear with time, so you need to get back quick! The player can choose to spend this experience to increase the stats or gain new magic spells.

Visually looks good though as I mentioned before, everything looks too similar. Music and sound effects are correct and so is the story, I don't mind this too much as I like these games for the gameplay.

Did I like it? Not bad.
I think you will like it if you:
- Liked Dark Souls
- Don't expect Dark Souls quality

I rate my experience with a 6.5 out of 10.
